How To Make Infusion Slot Gw2

Replace Philospher Stones for Crystals(x40) for Tomes (defensive infusion slots) same stats For full receipes see GW2W. The backpiece you can buy in the fractals- can be upgraded 3times. T1 = turn it into asecended t2 = get an additional agony resistance in base item + an infusion slot (normal ascended upgrade) t3= IT GLOWSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. When u make the attuned ascended rings, you have 3 slots, 2 agony infusion slot, and 1 infusion slot. Basically, you can equip 2 insusions +10 for example on the agony infusion slot, but then on the infusion slot you will only be able to equip the +5 versatile infusion (Bought from the golem inside the fotm lobby. Why would you upgrade it to infused if you already have an infusion upgrade in that ring? I think I'm missing something, I though when you want to infuse your ascended item you just double-click the infusion and then click on the item (if it has a free infusion slot ofc).

What is considered the optimal route to 150 AR and what equipment/weapon/trinket preparation is required?

Specific to my situation: I have armor, a 2H weapon, a 1H weapon (working on the off-hand ascended) and an infused back item. My trinkets need work, but I'm not sure what the best course of action there is. I have basic, ascended rings/amulet and exotic accessories.

Slot

Thanks in advance for the help; I appreciate it.

    Deroir's Guide:

    There's a couple of different strategies that vary in terms of trading cost & convenience.

    • Simplest is using twelve AR+9 with eight AR+7. Use three nines each on rings that are both infused and attuned, and one each on your armor. Sevens on everything else. (Adds up to 164 to account for swapping weapons.)
    • When ecto are expensive (i.e. not right now), you can avoid infusing the backpack (costs a stack of ecto) and use more AR+9 (fifteen on everything, except one seven and one eight each on the weapons).
    • You can save a little bit of coin by using eights, but I don't find it worthwhile because it requires spending a lot more time gathering stuff together. The amount saved depends on being careful about how you pay for the AR+8 and can turn out to be negligible.

    If you're short on AR and gold both, the best strategy is to make as many AR+7 as you can, use those, until you can upgrade them AR+9. It costs 24 silver for an infusion extractor, which removes all the infusions from an item.

  • @crashburntoo.7431 I forgot to mention:

    • Most fractals require less than 150, so you can get by without a maxed set for most of the daily T4 combinations.
    • There are also some potions you can buy to boost AR a bit, although I recommend against these: save your relics to purchase the permanent potions instead.
    • Agony is triggered at specific times. You cannot avoid all of it, but you can avoid a lot. I've seen skilled-PUGs do better with too little AR than some folks who have multiple toons with full AR (although this works better in some fractals than others).

    Good luck

    Amulet is insignificant for AR, it can only hold enrichment upgrades, no agony resistance.

    Rings can be attuned (if the fractal mastery is trained) and infused. Both upgrades are not expensive but might require some account bound fractal materials. Rings are your main agony resistance sources with 3 slots for agony resistance a piece.

    Accessories only provide 1 AR slot each, use guild missions or better yet, use Living World Season 3 maps to get 2 (you wont be able to get PoF stats on those though).

    Check https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_trinket for an easy overview of where you can get what. Winterberries from Bitterfrost (farm-able per character per day) as well as Petrified Wood from Ember Bay both can be traded if for accessories.

    Isn't it total 18 infusion slots?, if so (12×9+6×7=150AR)

    Your math is correct, but the additional 2x7 are for your other weapon or weapon set, giving you a total of 20 infusion slots.

    Armor = 6 slots
    Weapon 1 = 2 slots (whether 2-hand or 1-hand and off-hand)
    Weapon 2 = 2 slots (whether 2-hand or 1-hand and off-hand)
    Back = 2 slots
    Rings = 6 slots (3 each, infused and attuned)
    Accessories = 2 slots (1 each)

    If you're playing a class that doesn't swap weapons, but you want to carry alternative weapons, it would work out the same way. If rings and armor use up your 9's (x12), the back, weapons and accessories will use the 7's (x8) for a total of 164AR, but with 150AR active (extra 14 on standby with alt weapons).
