The World Series of Poker has released the schedule for the 2018-2019 WSOP Circuit’s fifteenth season. It will begin August 2nd at Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina and will conclude when the qualifiers meet in the Global Casino Championship, which awards a WSOP gold bracelet. All told, there will be 28 stops on the tour, a record for the WSOP Circuit.

There were a few changes made to the upcoming season. Perhaps most noticeably, the traditional $365 buy-in for the ring events will now be $400. Most of the price points have been altered to speed up cashouts and increase prize pools. The “primary” price points (the most common ones), will be $250, $400, and $600. The Main Events will be $1,700. Players will begin with 50 percent more starting chips in the $400 and $1,700 events.

World Poker Tour! World Poker Tour All-In Hold ‘em is an exciting variant of the popular Texas Hold ‘em game that is found in poker rooms worldwide. You can call the dealer, and see the action unfold as the dealer reveals the community cards! This is a Texas Hold ‘em game this is played against the dealer.

Just like at the World Series of Poker, the WSOP Circuit will introduce Big Blind Ante tournaments for some ring events. The Big Blind Ante was tested on the Circuit last year. In these events, when the tournament reaches the ante stage, the player in the big blind will pay the ante for everyone at the table.

Schedule

“For our fifteenth season, the time was right to take a hard look at our offering and refreshing it to give players a better experience all around,” said WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel in a press release. “Everyone loves more starting chips, and we think things like the Big Blind Ante and larger prize pools will be big hits for all players.”
